5-Day Trip: Totally Chiriquí
Although the 3-Day Trip with Boquete Outdoor Adventures is a great journey, the 5-Day Trip kicks it up the excitement another level. Whether hiking the scenic jungles of the Chiriqui Highlands, zipping along through the towering treetops of the Boquete forest, or enjoying the crystal-clear waters of the ocean and heart-pounding whitewater rapids, this trip offers a level of excitement that you won't find anywhere else.
Day 1 – Waterfall Hike at Falling Waters Nature Reserve / Coffee Farm Tour
A Boquete Outdoor Adventures guide will meet you at your lodging at 8 am and drive to the Lost Waterfalls Nature Reserve in the beautiful Boquete mountains. During this hike through the cloud forest, you will be serenaded by the sounds of babbling brooks and falling water as we visit some of the most beautiful scenery in Central America. While trekking along the Quebrada La Mina and some of Boquete's most exquisite waterfalls, you have the perfect opportunity to jump in for a refreshing shower.
Following the hike, you will spend the afternoon at the famous Finca Dos Jefes coffee farm, learning about and enjoying some of the world's finest organic coffee. This is a great opportunity to learn about the coffee process, from bean to cup, in the Boquete highlands. Once the tour is over, you will be delivered back to your lodging. Included: transportation from and to lodging, guide(s), and Panamanian tipico lunch.
Day 2 – Whitewater Rafting on a Heart-Pounding Chiriqui River
This journey is sure to offer the kind of heart-pounding excitement that makes Chiriqui a famous whitewater rafting destination! After picking you up around 8 am, we will take a 90-minute trip from Boquete to one of Chiriqui´s many roaring rivers, where you will get the chance to take on the rapids one by one.
With runs ranging from Class 2 to Class 4, based on water levels, the Boquete Outdoor Adventures guides will pick the river that is right for the experience and skill level of the group. This trip is one of the highlights of any Boquete Outdoor Adventures package vacation and is one that no one will want to miss. Lunch is included and you will be returned to the Boquete Outdoor Adventures office after your thrilling day. Included: transportation to and from lodging, equipment, guides and lunch. MUST BRING: ORIGINAL PASSPORT for foreigners or cedula for Panamanians.
Day 3 and 4 – Sea Kayaking, Snorkeling and Fun at Golfo de Chiriqui National Marine Park
This exciting journey leaves Boquete around 7 am and arrives at Boca Brava around 8:30-9:00 am, where a boat will be waiting for the trip to Golfo de Chiriqui National Marine Park. This boat will make its way through the Laguna de Chiriqui, passing the mangrove forests before arriving at the park. This 14,740-hectacre group of islands is home to countless plants, exotic fish, and animals such as howler monkeys, leatherback turtles, dolphins, tiger herons, and more.
The trip will be filled with sea kayaking, snorkeling, fishing, swimming or simply relaxing in a hammock, enjoying the sounds of the waves. Because there is so much to do and see here, the trip is an overnight excursion. You may choose between camping on the island or a hotel. Either way, your accommodations will be covered in the price. All of the camping equipment is provided, along with the items for sea kayaking and snorkeling. If camping, lunch and dinner are included on Day 3 and breakfast and lunch are included on Day 4. If staying in the hotel, lunch is included Day 3 and 4. After this great adventure to one of the most amazing natural treasures found in the Chiriqui province, we will drive you back to your Boquete lodging. Included: transportation from and to lodging, motorboat transportation, snorkeling and kayaking gear, guides, and lunch both days if you choose to stay in a hotel OR all meals while camping IF you choose to camp.
Day 5 – Zipline Canopy Tour
After picking you up from your lodging, your guide will bring you to the Boquete forest, where you´ll embark on an exciting adventure that offers a totally different perspective of the Chiriqui Highlands. Ziplines incorporate a series of safe, heavy-duty cables for flying from platform to platform. From the ziplines, you will have a great vantage point to look at the area while soaring through the trees. Darting between 13 different platforms, the thrilling ziplines take each adventurer a combined distance of almost 3 kilometers.
Once back on the ground, this private refuge has 40 hectares of rugged terrain for exploring, even offering a fortunate few the opportunity to see the Resplendent Quetzel, one of Panama and Central America's most beautiful and rarest birds. You will be returned to the office after your exciting day. Included: transportation from and to lodging, guides, and equipment.
